about
Green Eyed Cat

Our Mission

UT Campus Cats is a community-driven initiative dedicated to providing support, care, and advocacy for the stray cats on the University of Tampa campus. Our mission is to create a safe and nurturing environment for these feline residents by offering food, medical care, and loving attention.

We work to ensure that every stray cat is spayed or neutered, reducing overpopulation while improving their quality of life. Through rescue efforts, care, and community outreach, we strive to educate and engage students in compassionate care for these animals.

Whether you're interested in volunteering, donating, or simply spreading awareness, we welcome your participation in our efforts. Together, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of these cats and help them live a comfortable life.

Stray animals are not allowed inside any buildings on the University of Tampa campus. While we do our best to care for these cats, UT Strays is not responsible for any injuries, bites, or scratches caused by stray animals. Please approach them with caution and respect their space.

What We Do

TNVR
We humanely trap stray cats and get them spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and then return them to their familiar environment to prevent overpopulation and improve their health.

Feeding & Daily Care
We provide consistent food and fresh water to keep the stray cats on campus nourished and healthy. Our dedicated volunteers monitor their well-being and report any concerns.

Medical Assistance
When a cat is sick or injured, we ensure they receive necessary veterinary care, including treatments for illnesses, parasite control, and emergency aid when needed.

Education & Awareness
We educate students and faculty about responsible cat care, the benefits of TNVR, and ways to coexist safely and humanely with the stray cat population.

Building a Supportive Community
We encourage teamwork by connecting volunteers, animal lovers, and the local community to work together in protecting and caring for these cats.

Tagging
Each cat on campus has collar tag with their associated profile found on this website. We do our best to update profiles and records in an efficent manner.
